When Northview High School opened its doors for the first time in August 2002 Fulton County provided a gym, football stadium, and tennis courts. No additional buildings or funds were provided by Northview High School, Fulton County, or the Fulton County Board of Education for other athletic programs at the school.
The Northview High School Wrestling Booster Club was formed as part of the Northview Titan Booster Club, as a non-profit group to promote the funding, participation and success of the High School (9th through 12th grade) and the Northview Wrestling Club (5 year old to 8th grade Junior Titans) teams in numerous activities.
The Northview High School Wrestling Booster Club going forward will be known as the Northview Takedown Club. The Takedown Club is an organization of families and friends who have come together to encourage, support and promote the Northview Titan wrestling program. It is through this community spirit, volunteerism and fundraising efforts that the Takedown Club is able to provide the personnel, equipment and facilities required for our Titan wrestling program to compete. Objectives include:
*Provide the advancement of the wrestling program for Northview families. *Provide a better understanding of the wrestling program. *Provide financial support of our wrestling team and program development. *Secure adequate protection for our athletes. *Promote more active students and parents participation in the wrestling program, and promote school spirit within the school and surrounding community.
